Goto Middle School is located on Fukue Island in the Goto Islands. Since the choir instructor Matsubara Haruko (played by Kimura Fumino) is on leave due to maternity, she entrusted her friend Kashiwagi Yuri (played by Yui Aragaki) to teach for one semester. Kashiwagi is beautiful and cold, and the students are both curious and afraid of her. Although they heard that she was once a pianist in a symphony orchestra, she resigned and returned home for some reason, and she was absolutely unwilling to guide the students in practice.
