King Richard

The script of this film ranked second on the 2018 Hollywood "Script Blacklist" and tells the true story of Richard Williams, a shrewd, pragmatic, unyielding father with no tennis background who trained two tennis geniuses who later became superstars-Venus Williams and Serena Williams (Venus and Serena Williams). Richard Williams drafted a 78-page plan for his daughters' professional tennis careers, a game the girls learned on Compton's dilapidated, overgrown public courts. Before that, their father reportedly got into a fight with some tough young guys who didn't like the sport and wouldn't step aside. The Williams sisters went on to become two of the greatest female players in tennis history.
