At the beginning of summer, Bridgette found a job in a wealthy suburb of Chicago as a nanny for six-year-old Frances. But at the same time, she gave up her rights as a mother and had the surgery. With no time to recover, she had many conflicts with Frances on the one hand and was consumed by her increasingly tense relationship with Frances' mother on the other. Over time, they begin to develop a friendship and find joy in doing so.
