The Dilemma of Tacloban

The film tells the story of how people in Tacloban City and Leyte Island restored their lives one year after being devastated by typhoons in the central Philippines. The new film "The Tacloban Dilemma" by Filipino director Brillante Mendoza, who won the Best Director at the Cannes Film Festival and attracted much attention from the world's cinema upon his debut, will also appear in the screening section. Brillante Mendoza's works have similar images and ideological styles to Jia Zhangke, which is vividly demonstrated in "The Dilemma of Tacloban".
