The Virgin Suicides

A cold male voice brings the beginning of the story. Puberty is a threshold that cannot be overcome for the five cardamom daughters of the Lisbon family. The first to commit suicide was the youngest daughter Cecilia (Hanna R. Hall). She became vulnerable and depressed and wanted to end her life, all for no apparent reason. Her parents thought that letting her date boys would improve the situation. However, Cecilia still chose to bid farewell to her life. Another daughter, Lux (played by Kirsten Dunst), has frequent interactions with boys and has a wild temperament. Lux met the playboy Tripp and had a relationship with him, but was eventually abandoned by Tripp. Lisbon's parents were so afraid of losing their daughter again that they lost their rationality. They trapped their four daughters at home and gave them the strictest protection. However, the tragedy of suicide spreads rapidly like an epidemic.
