Journey to Sese Island

The protagonist of the story is a communist who has been exiled in the Soviet Union for a long time. After the fall of the Greek military junta, he was finally able to return to his hometown in his twilight years. When he returned to the familiar place in his memory with such a contradictory and ambiguous identity, and faced his family and friends, he felt the alienation from humanity, the blindness to the future, and the low recognition and disregard for the motherland. People try to unload the burden of memory, but they are afraid that it will be so light that they will lose their way. In this environment, he realized that he had truly lost his nationality. In the end, his lover, who had been separated for many years, floated on a floating shore in the Aegean Sea.
