Catastrophe

The story takes place in the Northeast during the September 18th period. Xiaozi's dad (played by Lu Qiushi) has known each other for more than ten years with Japanese "businessman" Kawashima (played by Tsutsumi Yuki). After the incident, Kawashima turned his back overnight and refused to recognize anyone, which shocked Xiaozi's dad. The boy's father is from a wealthy family in Xitaitun, and his family's land covers a hundred miles. His biggest regret was that he did not give birth to a son who could continue his family life, so when he got a daughter, he named her Xiaozi (played by Liang Siqi). The long-term worker in the family has a son named Chunyang (played by Zhou Hongsai), who he specially hired to play with the boy. Seeing that the Lunar New Year is approaching, the boy's second aunt (played by Liu Mai) is a lively person. She planned in advance how to celebrate the Spring Festival as lively as in previous years. Unexpectedly, Kawashima came with people to pay the grain, and they bloodbathed Xitaitun by force in order to clear obstacles for the arrival of the Japanese pioneering group. The boy's father was forced to become a traitor, and his second aunt vowed to drive out the Japanese even if it took her the rest of her life...
