Synopsis
Freder (Gustav Fröhlich) is the son of Joh Fredersen (Alfred Abel), the master of the Metropolis. Inspired by a holy girl (Brigitte Helm), Freder went underground and witnessed the miserable conditions of the workers working here. Freder suggested to his father that he wanted to change the situation of the workers. But Joh is unmoved and worried about the maps he finds among the workers. To figure out what the map shows, Joh has to ask his old nemesis Rotwang (Rudolf Klein-Rogge) for advice. What exactly is shown on the map? Why do workers go there?
