Tianhe

The South-to-North Water Diversion Project is one of the greatest and most difficult projects to benefit the people in Chinese history. Dong Wangchuan (played by Li Youbin), as the deputy commander-in-chief of this project, bears heavy pressure and ardent expectations from all sides on his shoulders. Dong Wangchuan is devoted to his work, and so is his wife Zhou Xiaodan (played by Yu Feihong). Although they live in the same room, they rarely see each other, let alone sit down and chat. Over time, the relationship between the couple has become distant and indifferent. At the same time, as Dong Wangchuan's most proud disciple and most capable assistant, Jiang Hao (played by Duan Yihong) chose to succumb to interests and decided to jump to a private company when the front line needed him most. Dong Wangchuan was very disappointed. The residents living in the reservoir area were nostalgic for their hometown and were unwilling to move, which became the biggest obstacle to the construction of the project.
