Daughter of the Sun

Bahar (Golshifteh Farahani) is a young lawyer. Her hometown was attacked by terrorists. During the war, Bahar lost her husband and her son was imprisoned by terrorists and became a hostage. Bahar herself was imprisoned along with thousands of other women who had similar experiences. Relying on his wisdom and courage, Bahar led the women to escape from prison and organized a women's army called "Women of the Sun". They declared war on the terrorists and vowed to take back their homeland. Mathilde (played by Emmanuelle Bercot) is an experienced war reporter. While Bahar was fighting her own war, Mathilde followed her closely, recording the touching struggle of this army with her camera.
