The Deadly Beauty

A clerk, Jiansheng (played by Tony Leung Ka-fai), is addicted to gambling in order to make a fortune, but unexpectedly he owes a gambling debt. His wife Meifeng (played by Brigitte Lin) does not hesitate to use public funds to help her husband pay off his debts. In order to fill the gap in public funds, Jiansheng and Meifeng went to a relative's house in Thailand to borrow money. On the way back, Mei Feng stumbles and falls into the sea. Jian Sheng becomes evil-minded and refuses to save her. Eventually, the police conclude that Mei Feng committed suicide out of fear of guilt.
