In the Name of the Land

Starring Guillaume Canet, Verla Bertans ([Broken House]), Antoine Baron ([Prayer]), and directed by Edouard Bergeon (Au nom de la terre, temporary translation), filming started in Mayenne this week. The story depicts a family saga spanning nearly 40 years. In 1982, Pierre left the United States, returned home to Mayenne and bought one of the most beautiful farms in the region. Pierre and his wife Claire ran the farm business for many years. But amid their happy times, the couple also had to battle debt and exhaustion.
