Such Parents

Sun Ping and his wife have a son named Xiaobao, and his wife dotes on him in every possible way. Sun Ping cannot lead by example, so he has little effect on Xiaobao's education. Neighbor Jiang Fugen has a son, Aaron. Jiang often beats and scolds the child, and Jiang's mother blindly protects the grandson. Due to improper family education, Xiaobao and Aaron fought, skipped school, stole property, and ran away from home. With the help of schools and society, children recognize their mistakes and take the right path, and parents also learn from them. It premiered in 1962 with the Popular Revue Troupe. In 1963, it was made into a movie at Shanghai Haiyan Film Studio (renamed "Such Mom and Dad"). It was revived by the Shanghai People's Comedy Troupe in 1981.
