Legend of the Demon Cat

The story takes place in Chang'an City during the prosperous Tang Dynasty. Bai Letian (played by Huang Xuan) was an important official in the court, but he was demoted to a common man in order to collect materials for writing poems. Bizarre deaths occurred one after another in the city of Chang'an, and even the current Holy Emperor could not escape his fate and died in mysterious circumstances. All of this was related to an elusive demon cat. The Japanese monk Kukai (played by Shota Sometani) originally traveled across the ocean to lift the emperor's curse, but he and Bai Letian had the same spirit, and the two decided to work together to investigate the truth of the case. The song "Qing Ping Tiao", which is full of complaints, shows that the evil cat's troubles are inextricably linked to the death of Yang Guifei (played by Zhang Rongrong) who was the most beautiful girl thirty years ago. Following the diary left by Abe Nakamaru (played by Hiroshi Abe) who was once obsessed with Yang Guifei, Bai Letian and Kukai witnessed the glory of the Tang Dynasty together, and also uncovered the conspiracy that had been concealed until now.
