The whereabouts of Haruko Azumi is unknown

The plot describes the sudden disappearance of Haruko Azum, a single office worker living in the suburbs, and the subsequent events that caused in the neighborhood. The story will be narrated in two intertwined timelines before and after Haruko disappears, and through the three generations of a 28-year-old woman, a 20-year-old woman, and a female high school student, it will outline the life profile of contemporary Japanese women. Adapted from the novel of the same name by Mariko Yamauchi, it is directed by Daigo Matsui, the emerging director of "The Daily Life of High School Boys". Yu Aoi and the director happen to both turn 30 this year. This is their first collaboration at this stage of life. They will jointly explore the psychology of women in their late 20s.
