The young and capable Rowena Price (played by Halle Berry) is a reporter for the "New York Express". She upholds justice and hates evil with hatred. After a story about a Senate gay sex scandal was pulled, Rowena was furious and quit her job. That night, Rowena met her childhood friend Grace, whom she had not seen for many years, but a week later she learned that Grace had died unexpectedly. Before her death, Grace mentioned the name of advertising giant Harrison Hill (Bruce Willis), a man she met online and had an affair with. After being dumped by the other party, Grace threatened to tell Harrison's wife about the affair. Rowena determines that this is a murder, and she recruits her newspaper partner and Internet expert Miles (Giovanni Ribisi) to assist in the investigation. A cat-and-mouse game begins...
