Wealth is Coming

Chang Si (played by Peter Sellers), a simple-minded old gardener. He has lived in an old house in Washington and has never left. His entire life consists of watching TV, and watching TV has become his only way to communicate with the outside world. Over a long period of time, his entire thought, behavior and world view have become completely televised. However, his employer died suddenly, and Changsi suddenly became homeless and helpless. Facing a strange and new world, he suddenly became confused. After a sudden car accident, Chang became a guest of wealthy Washington businessmen Eve (Shirley MacLaine) and Ben (Melvyn Douglas). With his "extensive" knowledge learned on television, he is astonishingly talented and has even become a trusted think tank for politicians. The political satirical comedy "The King of Riches", which was well-known in the film industry in the late 1970s, is the last work of comedian Peter Sellers. The film won the Best Supporting Actor at the 52nd Academy Awards in 1980 and was nominated for Best Actor. It was shortlisted for the Palme d'Or, the main competition unit of the 33rd Cannes Film Festival in 1980.
