Xiao Bi's story

Zhu Xiaofan witnessed the growth process of the neighbor boy Bi Chujia (Yi Shengzu, Zheng Chuanwen, Niu Chengze, Tuo Zonghua). In order to help Xiao Bi grow up better, Bi's mother (Zhang Chunfang), who was deceived into becoming pregnant and then abandoned, married Bi Dashun (Cui Fusheng), a nearly fifty-year-old civil servant who came to Taiwan from the mainland when he was six years old. Bi Dashun regarded Xiao Bi as his own child, taught him to write and read, and prepared to train him to become a college student. However, because he was regarded as a "troublemaker", Xiao Bi had a very alienated relationship with him, and he did not hesitate to steal comic books, fall in love early, steal lunches, and fight with others just to anger him. An incident related to money brought the relationship between Bi Dashun and Xiao Bi to the lowest point. When Bi Dashun was in a dilemma, Bi's mother chose to use extreme methods to motivate Xiao Bi and let him see the richer meaning of life.
