Starring: The White-Haired Girl

The short drama "The White-Haired Girl" is a re-created film based on "The White-Haired Girl" starring Tian Hua. It tells the story of Xi'er being occupied by Huang Shiren, fleeing to the mountains, sleeping in the open air, her green hair turning white due to a long-term lack of salt intake. After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, in Dachun, she returned to her hometown with the Eighth Route Army, and Huang Shiren and Mu Renzhi were severely punished. Xi'er's fate summarizes the suffering history of hundreds of millions of farmers in the old society who were oppressed, and uses it to illustrate that the feudal system of exploitation "turns people into ghosts", while the new society where the working people are the masters "turns ghosts into people".
