The Wives

Primary school teacher Rachel (played by Joanne Woodward) is thirty-five years old, but she still lives a lonely life. After her father passed away, the relationship between her and her mother (played by Kate Harrington) became increasingly tense. At school, Rachel's colleague Kara (Estelle Parsons) seems to be quite attracted to Rachel, but Rachel has no feelings for her. One day, Rachel meets her former high school classmate Nick (James Olson). Under Nick's guidance and temptation, she tastes the sweet taste of passion for the first time. However, just when Rachel decided to start a new relationship with Nick, she discovered that Nick was a playboy through and through. However, even so, the simple and kind-hearted Rachel still gave her sincerity, but received ruthless rejection. Life is still long for Rachel, but she feels old.
