Pago and the Magic Picture Book

The grumpy, arrogant Mr. Onuki (Koji Yakusho) After forty years of hard work, he founded the financially strong Loire Company, but at an advanced age, he finally suffered a heart attack on the board of directors and was sent to the hospital to recuperate. This is a hospital that gathers all kinds of strange people: firefighter Takita (played by a member of the theater group) who was hit by a fire truck, Kinomoto (played by Hayabusa Kunimura), a shemale who loves gossip and singing, Ryumonji (played by Keiya Yamauchi), a gangster who was shot by his beloved little monkey Junpei, Horimi (played by Takashi Abe) who loves funny things, and a child star who was once popular but now just wants to commit suicide (played by Satoshi Tsumabuki). Of course, there are also the doctor Asano (played by Takaya Kamikawa) who frequently has weird ideas and likes to imitate Peter Pan, the nurse Tamako (played by Anna Tsuchiya) who has turned from a bad girl into a career, and Masami (played by Koike Eiko) who is greedy for her uncle Onuki's property. These weirdos make life in the hospital fun every day, and of course make Mr. Onuki unbearable. There is also an angelic little girl Pago (Wilson Ayaka) in the hospital. A car accident claimed her parents and caused her to suffer from amnesia. She can only remember what happened that day. Pago reads the fairy tale book his mother gave her on her birthday every day. By chance, the bad-tempered Mr. Onuki and little Pago become friends.
