My Gentle Matador

In a dilapidated upper-class mansion, the aging drag queen embroiders loneliness stitch by stitch. One turbulent night, the young and handsome revolutionary Carlos walked into her world, and her decadent life once again had nostalgia. In order to maintain the relationship, she asked Carlos to pile up unknown cardboard boxes and hold secret gatherings at home. She knew clearly that there was little hope for this long-lasting ambiguity, but for the sake of precious love, she had no regrets. As the two people in the dark get closer and closer, a storm gradually takes shape. This relationship and the future of the country will be turned upside down... Adapted from the novel of the same name by Leme Bell, a pioneer of the Latin American gay movement, it depicts Chile's turbulent dictatorship era in retro and rich tones. Chilean actor Castro once again challenged the queer theme after "The Prince", turning into a drag queen for the first time to talk about love between young and old.
