Wartime Provincial Party Committee

In 1927, the Kuomintang reactionaries headed by Chiang Kai-shek betrayed Dr. Sun Yat-sen's three major policies of "alliance with Russia, alliance with the Communist Party, and support of farmers and workers" and carried out mass arrests and massacres of communists. In order to restore our party's party organizations in the southern provinces, the Central Committee appointed Comrade Zhang Wenbin, then Secretary-General of the Central Committee, to Guangdong to develop party members, restore the establishment of party organizations at all levels, and establish workers and peasants' armed forces to actively carry out the anti-Japanese struggle.
