Bell Tolls

The story takes place during the Spanish Civil War in 1937. Amidst the flames of war, a man named Robert (Gary Cooper) from the United States He is often active on the front line, leading the Spanish people to fight against the brutal local fascist rule. They bombed trains and fought in the streets, beating the enemy back steadily. On this day, Robert took over a new task and joined forces with a guerrilla group composed of voluntary militiamen to blow up an iron bridge on the only way for the enemy to attack. In the process, Robert met a girl named Maria (Ingrid Bergman). Maria was once the mayor's daughter and lived a happy life. However, the war destroyed her family. Not only did she lose her parents, she was also humiliated. The common revolutionary beliefs brought Robert and Maria quickly together.
