Newsboy Legend

The story takes place in New York in 1899. Newsboys selling newspapers can be seen everywhere on the streets of New York. Because these children sell newspapers on their own initiative, there has never been an organization that can manage and protect them. Therefore, the newsboys are often squeezed and exploited by wealthy newspaper owners. Jack (Christian Bale) is one of these newsboys. Compared to the other children, Jack is obviously more lively and clever. Hastert (Max Casella) and Pulitzer (Robert Duvall) were the two giants of the newspaper industry at the time. In contrast, Pulitzer's company was at a disadvantage. In order to make more money, Pulitzer decided to increase the price that newsboys paid to buy newspapers in order to obtain greater profits. This move caused dissatisfaction among the newsboys. Taking advantage of this opportunity, Jack, who had always wanted to do something big, rose up and led the newsboys to start a strike.
