In 1982, the legendary British heavy metal band Spinal Tap rock band became a hit. Movie director Marty (Rob Reiner) is a loyal fan of the Spinal Tap band. The Spinal Tap band is coming to the United States for a comeback tour, and Marty is filming the accompanying documentary for the Spinal Tap band. This fake documentary deliberately created a British rock band Spinal Tap, vividly depicting the rock band's duplicitous appearance on and off the stage, and made a sharp satire and ridicule of contemporary rock music. The film was written, directed and starred by Rob Reiner. The film music in the film was all performed and composed by the actors themselves.
