The Count of Monte Cristo

The young captain Edmond (played by James Caviezel) is preparing to marry his beloved fiancée Merce. However, the vice-captain Fernand is jealous of everything Edmond has and designs to imprison him in the most heavily guarded prison on an isolated island for life. Merce also falls into Fernand's arms. During his 13 years in prison, Edmond met an inmate in prison. Under the guidance of the inmate, Edward formulated a careful escape plan, and Edward obtained a map containing a huge treasure. Finally, on a dark and stormy night, Edward risked a narrow escape and successfully escaped from prison. After finding the treasure, Edmond used the money to buy himself the title of Count of Monte Cristo. After changing his name, Edmond began to embark on his road of revenge.
