Silent Wedding

The story takes place in a small village in Romania in September 1953. Lanku (played by Alexandru Potocean) and Marla (played by Meda Victor) are about to celebrate their grand wedding. This man and woman are so in love that apart from making love and getting married, they can't seem to find any better way to convey their feelings. However, at this great time, news came of the death of the dictator Stalin. In order to pay tribute to him, Lanku and Mara were told that they must cancel their wedding. For Lanku and Mara, how can the death of an insignificant person stop their love? A silent wedding came into being. The silence here represents complete silence. There is no language, and there is no sound caused by collision, pulling, and chewing. The resistance to power and dictatorship brought long-lost happiness to the villagers, but it also turned this special wedding into a funeral.
