Stateless

Brothers Kim Hyuk (played by Joo Jin-mo) and Kim Cheol (played by Kim Kang-woo), and Lee Young-chun (played by Song Seung-hun) are both North Korean defectors. When Jin Hyuk abandoned his younger brother in order to survive, the latter who had been detained in South Korea for many years harbored a grudge. After many years of hard work, Jin Hyuk has never been able to get his brother's forgiveness. Jin Hyuk and Young Chun joined a gun smuggling gang in South Korea. With their extraordinary abilities, they won the trust of their boss and were entrusted with leading the boss's nephew Zheng Taimin (played by Zhao Hanshan). Unexpectedly, the seemingly submissive Zheng Taimin hated Jin Hyuk deeply because he could not get his uncle's respect. He framed him and imprisoned him in a transaction. Yingchun, who wanted to avenge Jin Hyuk, was seriously injured and one of his legs was crippled. Three years later, Jin Zhe became a South Korean policeman and vowed to bring his brother's gang to justice; Zheng Taimin climbed to a high position in the organization; and Jin Hyuk, who had just been released from prison, had nothing. He found Yingchun, who was living in desolation, and the two wanted to get back what belonged to them... This film is a remake of "A Better Tomorrow" directed by John Woo.
