Dogs of the Star Guard

Located in a small city in Hokkaido, Okutsu (Tetsuji Tamayama) works in the city government ) was heading to the depths of the jungle with her colleagues. Not long ago, an abandoned car was found here, with the skeletons of a middle-aged man and a dog inside. Except for a few receipts for consumption along the way, there were no documents inside or outside the car that could prove the man's identity. On the way, he picked up Yuki (Kawashima Umika), a fellow country girl who secretly went to Tokyo for a talent show. Using shopping receipts as clues, the two followed the footsteps of the middle-aged man "Maeda" (played by Toshiyuki Nishida) and his pet dog Happy. After visits, they gradually pieced together the ordinary and lonely life of Mr. Maeda... This film is adapted from the comic of the same name by Miyuki Murakami.
