The Three Adventures of Xingxi

The Chinese girl Xia Xingxi (played by Xu Fangyi) came to Alor Setar, a small town in northern Malaysia, alone Setar), because her bicycle had a flat tire, she experienced three completely different adventures. She successively met the local girl Ailing (played by Huang Ruoxi), three idle men, and the writer Pierre (played by Pascal Gregory). The film was shortlisted for the Venice Days section of the 75th Venice International Film Festival, and won multiple nominations including the Lion of the Future (Best First Feature) Award, the Venice Days Director Award, and the Silver Balloon Award at the Nantes Three Continents Film Festival.
