The film tells the touching story of a mentally ill patient who strives to find personal value. A Milanese businessman loses his job and comes to work in a psychiatric hospital, where he organizes the mentally ill into a cooperative and firmly believes that they all have self-respect and their own worth. Despite all kinds of difficulties, he still encourages everyone to keep learning and be able to support themselves and find a role that suits them. The whole film combines elements of comedy and tragedy, which is deeply touching.
