In Macedonia, in war-torn Bosnia, a young Orthodox monk silences himself to protect a young Albanian girl suspected of killing an Orthodox Christian. But it was just a misunderstanding. The monk decided to elope with the girl out of his kindness. In London, a photojournalist (played by Katrin Cartlidge) was in a restaurant talking to her husband about their declining relationship.
