He is a country boy who walks barefoot through the mountains; he is a passionate young lawyer who shouts long live freedom; he is an armed revolutionary leader against the government; he is a political prisoner who has been imprisoned, exiled and worked hard for 27 years; he is the first black president elected in the first democratic election in South Africa's history, and his name is Mand ddd. Mandela dedicated his life to resisting the apartheid policy. He transformed from a revolutionary warrior to a peace fighter, turning a country with serious racial divisions into a country of equality and harmony, setting an example for the world, but he paid a heavy price. At the age of 43, Mandela was charged with attempting to overthrow the government and sentenced to life imprisonment. He and his wife Winnie were separated from each other, and he never had the opportunity to accompany his children and grandchildren to grow up. Even though he finally regained freedom after 27 years of imprisonment and became a president and hero respected by all people, he lost the woman he loved most in his life. Years of separation and political persecution made the two couples farther and farther apart. While Mandela preached the concept of peace and tolerance, Winnie declared war with hatred on her back.
