The Last Note

In 1936, 34-year-old Napoleon Sukazdis was imprisoned by the German Nazis for participating in the Greek resistance movement. In Laconia, Greek resistance forces attack the Nazis, resulting in the deaths of a Nazi general and three bodyguards. In order to retaliate, the Nazis decided to exchange the lives of 50 Greek prisoners for the life of one German. Napoleon and the other 199 prisoners embarked on a strange destiny. On the day of his execution, the concentration camp commander Fischer wanted Napoleon to stay in the camp as an interpreter and gave him the opportunity to avoid the death penalty, but he had to find another prisoner to be tortured instead.
