The day Lao Fan (played by Fan Wei) was born happened to be April Fool's Day, and he himself felt that his life was probably a joke. In his early years, his wife left Lao Fan, leaving behind his son Xiao Fan (played by Liu Junhao) and Lao Fan living a life of dependence on each other. Although the relationship between father and son is very close, the financial constraints and difficult life make Lao Fan always feel guilty towards Xiao Fan. On this day, Lao Fan seems to have reached a low point in his life. First, he made a mistake at work and was punished by his boss (played by Fan Tiantian). Then he accidentally annoyed the square dance brother (played by Sui Kai), and was retaliated and teased by the latter.
