Just Mercy

Brann (Michael B. Jordan), who graduated from Harvard Law School, is running a non-profit organization dedicated to providing legal aid to prisoners sentenced to death. With the help of Eva (Brie Larson), Brann's beautiful vision took root. He had his own office and got his first client. Walter (Jamie Foxx) was once sentenced to death and imprisoned, although he had a very strong alibi. Six years later, when Brann met Walter, he found that his spirit had been broken by the long prison life. Brann decided to help Walter appeal, but his passionate move was met with failure by the new prosecutor. Despite losing support, Brann still insisted on overturning Walter's verdict.
