Synopsis
In 1956, two high school students Theo and Kurt saw news reports of the Hungarian October Uprising on their way to watch a movie in West Berlin. In order to express their condolences to the victims of the uprising, they and their classmates decided to ignore the teacher in class and be silent for a minute. However, this short minute completely changed the fate of the students in the class. Many of them were regarded as a thorn in the side by the East German Security Bureau and were monitored and persecuted. After the class was forcibly disbanded, they decided to regroup in West Germany, but with a new identity as fugitives.
