Shahada

The debut film of Burhan Qurbani, a 29-year-old young director with an immigrant background in Germany. The film reflects the integration process of today's Germany through three interrelated stories. The movie is called "Shahada", which is an Arabic name from the Muslim faith. The three stories are carefully woven together. A girl who suffered an illegal abortion suffered humiliation and prepared to escape from the control of fundamental teachings; a gay man struggled with his sexual orientation that conflicted with the teachings; and a policeman who was a good Muslim in front of his wife, but in fact had an extramarital affair.
