Mianzhou Beacon

On April 12 and July 15, 1927, Chiang Kai-shek and Wang Jingwei betrayed the revolution one after another. The vigorous revolution failed. White terror enveloped the Mianyang Honghu area, and China fell into the darkest era. In order to save the revolution, the Communist Party of China held an emergency meeting in Hankou on August 7 and determined the general policy of agrarian revolution and armed resistance to the Kuomintang reactionaries. Deng Changlun (formerly from Shaling Village, Pengchang Town, Mianyang County), who was then the Propaganda Minister of the underground Hubei and Hunan Provincial Committees of the Communist Party of China, was appointed by the organization to return to his hometown in Mianyang to lead the revolutionary struggle. Since then, the revolutionary struggle storm has set off in the Honghu base area in western Hunan and Hubei and in the southeast of Mianyang, writing a glorious page in the history of revolutionary struggle in the Honghu base area in western Hunan and Hubei.
