The Great Wave

Southern Offshore Oil Company jointly developed oil in the South China Sea with a foreign oil company. Liang Hai and Zheng Dachao, a group of drilling workers boarded the Dolphin platform to work for foreign bosses. Liang Hai met Shen Qing, the company's translator, and developed a good impression. Zheng Dachao was fired from his job because he stood up for his fellow worker Han Dake, and later returned to the platform. When the typhoon arrived, Liang Hai and platform director Anderson asked Zheng Dachao to lead everyone to retreat. They stuck to their posts and eventually sacrificed heroically. Zheng Dachao and his comrades tearfully commemorated the heroic spirits at sea, and a new march towards offshore oil began.
