Ambitious lawyer Cullen (Bill Pullman) is about to become a federal judge, but unwisely drinks before getting appointed and forces the new secretary Sophie (Gabrielle Ann Waugh) to have sex with him in the office. On the other hand, Nathan (Devon Shaw), a young man with a criminal record, decided to go to the city to meet his biological father, Cullen. Before Nathan could reveal his identity to Cullen, the father and son met.
