Turbid Currents

"turbid currents" is divided into three chapters, respectively adapted from three short stories "Thirteen Nights", "New Year's Eve" and "turbid currents" by the Japanese female writer Higuchi Kazuyo during the Meiji period. Director Imai was a representative figure of Japanese left-wing films in the 1950s. In this film, he uses the fate of women as the main line of the story and details the lives of ordinary people in the Meiji period.
