Late Night Diner Movie Version

The neon lights of Tokyo are shining under the night cover. In an inconspicuous corner of the city, a late-night restaurant full of warmth quietly opens. The charming Kawashima Tamako (played by Takaoka Early) looks decadent. Her patron passed away not long ago, but left her no inheritance. When he was depressed and helpless, the ordinary-looking office worker Xiaochu (played by Tokiaki Emoto) came into Tamako's sight, and their relationship quickly became closer. Country girl Michiru Kuriyama (played by Mikako Tabe) came to Tokyo alone. When she was desperate, she had a meal at her boss (played by Kaoru Kobayashi). Afterwards, she came to ask for work to pay back the money, so the girl found a temporary place to live. The 3·11 earthquake made Fukushima disaster victim Oishi Kenzo (played by Michitaka Tsutsui) and a volunteer from Tokyo Sugita Akemi (played by Akiko Kikuchi) get acquainted. Oishi launched a fanatical pursuit of the latter and even followed him to Tokyo. The stories of ordinary people are alternately staged in the late-night cafeteria...
