Deep Palace Grudge

The Queen Mother of the Qing Dynasty (played by Yi Guang) has an affair with the regent Dorgon (played by Luo Wei) and the Ming Dynasty general Hong Chengchou (played by Qiao Hong). In order to drive a wedge between Dorgon and the Queen Mother, Hong Chengchou lobbied Dong Xiaowan (played by You Min), a famous prostitute in Qintan, to get close to Dorgon, and then slandered the Queen Mother. The Queen Mother became jealous and summoned Dong Xiaowan into the palace. Shunzhi (played by Zhao Lei) saw her and thought she was an immortal descending to earth. Dong Xiaowan was named Concubine Dong E and gave birth to a son. Shunzhi wanted to establish him as the prince, but Dorgon opposed it and poisoned the baby. Hong Chengchou persuaded Shunzhi to kill Dorgon. Dong Xiaowan discovered the adultery between the Queen Mother and Hong Chengchou, and was thrown into the cold palace by the Queen Mother. Hong Chengchou instigated the empress dowager to set fire to the palace, and Dong Xiaowan died.
