Nomad

The Carmody family has been living a nomadic life in the Australian outback. Son Sean is responsible for herding sheep. He and his mother Ida wanted to find a farm to settle down. Father Paddy wants to continue living as usual. A lot of things happened in this family later. The birth of a child, his father's drinking and gambling habit, and the sheep shearing and horse racing competitions on the grassland finally made them decide whether to settle down or continue their nomadic life. The film was nominated for Best Picture at the 33rd Academy Awards, 5 nominations for actress Deborah Kerr, supporting actress Glynis Johns, director Fred Zinnemann, and adaptation of the original work, and won the Special Achievement Award at the 18th Golden Globe Awards.
