In October 1944, Polish Jews and Hungarian Jews working in the incinerator at the Auschwitz concentration camp in Poland were plotting to riot and destroy the crematorium. A Polish man nicknamed "Haish" (played by Steve Buscemi) was responsible for liaison. The Hungarian Jewish doctor Mikalos (Allan Corduner) is given special treatment by prison guard Musfield (Harvey Keitel) for his outstanding achievements in the field of twin reproduction. He does not want to see the Hungarian Hofman (David Arquette) smother an inmate who failed to commit suicide with a pillow, causing a conflict with him.
