Joy (Jane Adams), Helen (Lara Flynn Boyle) and Tracy (Cynthia Stevenson) are three sisters who love each other as brothers. The three grew up playing together and spent a carefree childhood together. After growing up, the three sisters entered a complex and chaotic society and encountered emotional difficulties that every woman cannot escape. The relationship between Joey and her boyfriend has always been fraught. Tracy is married to psychiatrist Bill (Dylan Baker), but she doesn't know that his seemingly handsome man hides a dirty and ugly secret. Allen (Philip Seymour Hoffman) is Bill's patient. By chance, he met the charming Helen, fell in love and couldn't extricate himself. At the same time, the parents of the three sisters suddenly announced that they were ending their 40-year marriage.
