This is the second film made by director Li Hanxiang after establishing Guolian Company in Taiwan. It is still a costume Huangmei Diao film, but the results are better than "Seven Fairies". The story mainly describes a daughter of a minister in the Ming Dynasty who was framed for marrying a talented and handsome young man. A fake love letter and a jade hairpin were placed in front of the bridal chamber, which aroused the groom's suspicion. However, because the marriage was decided by the parents at that time, they did not dare to investigate the truth. The bride, who had been wronged innocently, could only endure it and remain silent. The director focuses on visual and audio entertainment, the scenery design and singing music are very beautiful, and the actors are competent in their roles, but unfortunately they still cannot escape the plot of the stage play.
