French national treasure singer Edith Piaf (played by Marion Cotillard), known as the "Little Skylark", has a legendary life. Piaf had a tumultuous childhood. She was first abandoned by her mother, then sent to a brothel by her father to be raised by her grandmother. Then, after her father retired from the army, he was forcibly taken away to live in a circus. Later, Piaf followed her father to make a living as a performer, and she later became a girl singing in a bar. Piaf, who officially debuted on stage, successfully became a star with a charming singing voice and sang many popular songs. However, her emotions have been repeatedly frustrated, especially her emotional experience with boxer Marcel (played by Jean-Pierre Martins). Her later years deteriorated and she died of liver cancer.
